Here’s some advice from one of the “founding fathers” of internet marketing, Ken McCarthy.
The guy pioneered many of the strategies used by online marketers today. And this particular method stuck in my mind because of its sheer simplicity.
Here it is, a simple (perhaps the simplest) way to grow your business online…
1. Send traffic to an opt-in page.
2. Relentlessly follow up via email.
3. Link subscribers to an online sales page that sells your product or service.
That’s it. No fancy marketing tactics. No “hacks”. No secret funnels or systems.
It’s standard practice in the information marketing industry but underappreciated (or unknown) elsewhere.
Doesn’t matter whether you sell products or services. Doesn’t matter if you’re an accountant, solicitor, plumber, or a builder.
Just send traffic to an opt-in page, send great follow up emails, and link to a sales page.
I’m in the process of implementing this for my business, and I hope you will consider doing the same.
Until next time…
Callum.

And if you’d like a little more “meat on the bone”, here’s a tasty article (see what I did there?) by the great Gary Bencivenga: A Simple 7-Step Formula For Succeeding Online. It’s the same strategy but explained in more detail.
