I’m in Boots in Bude, waiting on antibiotics prescription to be dispensed, as Mabel has an ear infection.

Killing time, I glanced around and noticed that they’re selling electric toothbrushes for better than half price. Great value. Better than Amazon. Yet, the point of sale display is terrible. The only indication that there are big savings to be had are tiny red banners added to the price tags. There’s an unused space for a big banner announcing the sale. This breaks the first rule of marketing/advertising: Get their attention.

It also highlights that there obvious under-utilised marketing assets, even in (or perhaps especially in) big businesses like Boots.
