Title - The world is an organised set of processes Tags - businesssystems processes goals

It can seem like you are being blown around like a leaf and that the world is complete chaos. But that’s not true. In fact, everything works as planned 99% of the time despite no single person running the world. That’s because there an incalculable number of processes working together to accomplish different goals - i.e. systems.

You don’t always see these systems. For example, there are complex processes working together to extract oil and deliver it around the world. They are there! And it’s these systems that produce stability and efficiency around the human world.

When there is chaos or dysfunction in a system it is usually because of human error - often due to a poor system created by humans (who may not even recognise they are following processes in a system).

As a result, unsatisfactory outcomes are not the result of faith or bad luck, but rather of our inability to exert influence over our processes and systems.

The positive side of this is that everyone has influence over their lives by working systems to their advantage.
