Title - The franchise prototype Tags - businesssystems

Imagine you’ll build a national chain - you first have to build the first one.

This is called the franchise prototype; the original model that can be replicated.

The franchise prototype has to:

  1. Give people value

The value can be provided in different ways, e.g. in the offer, customer service, location.

  1. Be systems-dependent rather than expert-dependent

The systems should be so simple and efficient they can be operated by anyone, not just technical experts.

  1. Document all of its systems

The documented systems (including a system to train people in the different systems) are what enable people other than the owner to operate the business.

  1. Provide predictable service 100% of the time

This provides customers with reliable service and the owner with predictable results.
