My dad is a sheep farmer in Weare Giffard - a village near Bideford, North Devon.
Every summer, he helps other farmers harvest their land.
One day, as they took a short break from rolling grass, dad’s colleague approached and said:
“We’ve just booked a scan with your daughter! Bit expensive isn’it?”
Dad just nodded and replied, “well, yes, I suppose it is.”
Then, a week later, after the scan, they were working together again.
“Johnny!” Dave shouted from across the field.
“Hi Dave…” dad responded, expecting another grumble.
“We had the scan…” Dave informed him…
… “and WOW! …
We were blown day. What an experience!
It was well worth the money.”
