Jay Abraham had a client: a GP with a large practice in Texas.
He felt that all his patients should get a flu shot, but most didn’t.
At Jays recommendaion, the doctor put up signs around his practice - in waiting rooms, toilets, at the counter where people paid after appointments - which said:
“Flu shots just $19 today”
As a result, 1 out of 3 patients who visited the practice took advantage.
This added $5000 per month all winter to his practice revenue.
It paid his rent, almost all of his salaries, and patients appreciated the service and protection it provided them.
Why did this work so well?
Because patients were at the practice to avoid getting ill and correct existing health problems.
The flu shot helped them prevent illness, so it was a logical extension of why they were already there.
Add the convenience of getting it done at the same appointment and it was almost easier to say yes than no.
