- obligation - “they’ve been with me since the beginning”
- guilt over earning too much
- compassion - “that’s all they can pay”
- poverty orientation - “that’s all they WILL pay”
- resume-building
- the cache client
- denial of what copywriting business really IS
- lack of confidence in ability or appropriateness to client
- poor sales skills
- start ‘n’ stop self marketing (while work gets done)
