Most people are nervous about doing things that don’t have a guaranteed pay-off. They say to themselves, “I don’t want to waste my time on this if I’m not sure it’s actually going to pay off.” The result? They don’t do anything!
A better attitude is, “I know that 80% of what I do in the early stages isn’t going to pay off, but I don’t know which 80%, so I’m just going to try a bunch of different things and see what works!”
