Here’s an example of an interaction usinge strip lines to move someone who is overly positive back towards centre on the emotional scale.
They say:
“This is a great car - I’m so excited - let’s do this!”
You might use a strip line to bring that back to centre:
You might say:
“You’re signing on the dotted line for a black sports car. You know, black sports cars show a lot of dirt. Are you sure about this?”
That’s a medium stripe line.
You’re asking them to verify that they understand what they are getting in to so they don’t realise after buying the car that it shows dirt and swing to negative.
