Here’s an example of an interaction that uses a strip line - followed by an interrogative question - to bring someone who is heavily negative closer to centre.
They start by saying:
“You’re all alike - you’re all just trying to get my money!”
You reply with a hard strip line:
“Of course we’re all alike.”
And follow it with an interrogative question:
“What would you do if you met someone different?”
Or…
“What would someone different look like.”
