For example, avoid alcohol the night before a negotiation to prevent fatigue. If you need to fly across the world for a negotiation, give yourself a few days rest - when you arrive - before the event.
Rearrange or cancel a negotiation even if you won’t have time to recover.
If you find yourself in a position where you won’t have time to recover before a negotiation, cancel it or rearrange. If you’re exhausted and can’t focus and you have a negotiation tomorrow on the other side of the world, cancel or rearrange. If you have family problems that you can’t solve before the negotiation and it will affect your ability to focus, cancel or rearrange so you can sort it.
