One of Jim Camp’s mentors was a man call W. Arthur Coleman Snr. He was a business partner with Jim’s father - and later with Jim - and a very successful businessman. When he entered a negotiation event, his adversary would would call him doctor or professor. The first thing he’d say is, “my name is Art” or “for goodness sake, just call me Art.” And that would make his adversary feel ok, which started the process of bringing down their barriers, and gave Art a little more control.
